Network Drop Installations
A network drop is the physical connection point between your devices and the building's core infrastructure. We install home-run Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A runs from each wall plate back to a central patch panel or IDF closet — no daisy-chaining, no shortcuts.
Every drop includes: wall-plate installation with keystone jacks, structured cable runs through walls, ceilings, or conduit, patch panel terminations, and end-to-end cable testing with a certified tester to confirm continuity and performance.
We work in residential, commercial, and light-industrial environments. Drops are clearly labeled at both ends for long-term manageability.

Wireless Access Point Installations
Consumer routers and extenders create dead zones and handoff gaps in any building larger than a small home. We install enterprise-grade wireless access points — ceiling or wall mounted — designed for seamless roaming and consistent throughput across every room and floor.
Our AP installation process includes: site survey to map coverage requirements and identify interference, structured cabling runs to each AP location, PoE switch or injector integration, mounting and physical installation, and basic SSID/channel configuration for initial deployment.
Supported in offices, warehouses, multi-unit residential buildings, retail spaces, and new construction. We install the infrastructure — your IT team or MSP handles network-level management if preferred.

PoE Camera Installations
Power over Ethernet cameras combine data and power over a single Cat6 cable, eliminating the need for separate power outlets at every camera location. Skyline Systems handles the full physical installation — from cabling to mount — for both commercial and residential security systems.
What's included: camera location planning and cabling route layout, Cat6 runs from each camera back to the NVR or PoE switch, conduit installation where exposed runs require protection, camera mounting and cable termination, and switch port integration. Note: NVR configuration and camera programming are the owner's or integrator's scope — we deliver clean, tested cable to every mount point.

Structured Cabling Systems
Structured cabling is the organized, standards-compliant cable infrastructure that ties a building's entire network together. Done correctly, it reduces troubleshooting time, supports bandwidth upgrades without rewiring, and keeps your IDF or MDF closet manageable for years.
Skyline Systems installs complete structured cabling systems including: backbone cabling between floors or buildings, horizontal cable distribution to each work area or device location, patch panel terminations and cross-connects, cable management (horizontal and vertical managers, velcro bundling), and full port labeling at both panel and outlet ends per TIA-606 standards.

New Construction Pre-Wiring
The lowest-cost, highest-impact time to install network infrastructure is during rough-in — before drywall closes the walls. Skyline Systems works directly with general contractors and builders to schedule low-voltage rough-in alongside electrical and plumbing, keeping trades coordinated and inspections on track.
Our new construction scope covers: pre-wire planning and outlet layout review with the GC or owner, rough-in cable pulls for data, wireless AP locations, and camera positions, low-voltage bracket and box placement, centralized distribution point installation (structured media center or IDF rack location), and trim-out — wall plates, terminations, and testing — once drywall and paint are complete.
We work on single-family custom homes, multi-unit residential developments, light commercial buildouts, and tenant improvement projects. Early coordination means cleaner installs, zero drywall patches, and a finished product that performs exactly as planned.

Do you supply the cable, hardware, and materials, or does the owner provide them?
We supply all cable, wall plates, keystones, patch panels, and consumables as part of the installation. If you have a preferred cable brand or spec (e.g., Cat6A shielded for a specific environment), let us know when you request a quote and we'll source accordingly.
How long does a typical installation take?
Scope drives timeline. A straightforward commercial office with 20-30 drops and a patch panel typically runs 4-5days. New construction pre-wire on a custom home may span of about 4 visits (rough-in, trim-out, and testing). We'll give you a clear schedule estimate with your quote.
What types of buildings do you work in?
We work in single-family homes, multi-unit residential buildings, office spaces, retail environments, warehouses, and light industrial facilities. New construction and occupied retrofit installs both supported.
What's not included in a Skyline Systems installation?
We focus on physical low-voltage installation. Network configuration (VLANs, firewall rules, managed switch programming), NVR/DVR camera setup and recording configuration, and IT support are outside our scope. We deliver clean, tested, labeled cabling infrastructure that's ready for your IT team or integrator to activate.
